FAFSA Guide

Federal financial aid can significantly reduce the cost of your education. Follow these five steps to apply — and let our team do the rest.

Required for FAFSA

MBI Federal School Code: 043097

Enter this code on the FAFSA to direct your aid to Millennium Beauty Institute.

Apply at studentaid.gov
  1. 1

    Create Your FSA ID

Go to studentaid.gov and create a Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID. This is your username and password for all federal student aid websites. If you have a parent contributing, they need their own FSA ID too.

Save your FSA ID credentials somewhere safe — you'll use them for your entire financial aid journey.

    Create FSA ID at studentaid.gov
  2. 2

    Gather Your Documents

Before you start the FAFSA, collect the following: Social Security Number, driver's license or photo ID, federal tax returns (or IRS Data Retrieval Tool access), W-2s and other income records, and bank statements.

The IRS Data Retrieval Tool can auto-fill your tax information, saving time and reducing errors.

  3. 3

    Complete the FAFSA

Visit studentaid.gov and log in with your FSA ID. Follow the prompts to fill in your personal information, financial details, and add MBI as one of your schools using our school code.

  4. 4

    Review Your Student Aid Report

After submission, you'll receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) within a few days — either by email or mail. Review it for accuracy and correct any errors promptly. Your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) will be listed on this report.

Check your spam folder if you don't see an email confirmation within 3–5 business days.

  5. 5

    Meet with MBI Financial Aid

Once we receive your FAFSA, our financial aid team will reach out within 2–3 business days to schedule a consultation. We'll review your award package, explain your options, and answer any questions.

Bring a copy of your SAR and any financial questions to your consultation appointment.
